Speakers for the 2019 Inquiry Initiative are experts in education from University of Missouri-St. Louis, University of North Carolina-Wilmington, North Carolina State University, and Blackboard, Inc.
The Inquiry Initiative began in 2015 with a grant from the International Literacy Association for Shea to conduct professional development with teachers in Kitale, Kenya. Since that time, educators from North Carolina, Indiana, and Missouri have collaborated with teachers from across Kenya to grow in culturally sustaining, learner-centered, inquiry-based teaching. And, we have improved teaching through practitioner inquiry and sharing with each other. |
